Tatum 5yr check up - Weighed in at 42 lbs and 42 in tall. She is 50% in both.... Everything was great except a rattle on her right side.... Last week AShlyn had walking pneumonia, so it came as no surprise. Dr. told me to watch for a couple of days, if she gets worse start her on the steroid.

Tyler 6m check up - Weighed in at 19.5 lbs and was 26 1/2 in long. He was 70% in weight and 50% in height. That is why everyone thinks he is HUGE..... he is short conpared to his weight. He has been coughing and had a runny nose, so it was no surprise to me that he has a double ear infection and walking pneumonia. Not contagious since there is no fever, but you can tell he doesn't feel well. So he is on the steroid as well. He also got 4 shots and a liquid...
I also talked to Dr. Johnson about him not taking a bottle and not eating. We are going for a Swallow study.... This will show us is there is a blockage or anything. We already know he has reflux and this could be a reason that he will not take a bottle.... Hopefully we can start him eating food soon... I have been trying for a month and he gags and projectile vomits it everywhere, everytime... TMI I know

He is trying to sit on his own, and is rolling over both ways and sometimes more than one roll at a time.
When he is not sick, he is a good baby. But he is definitely a MOMMA baby. I love it!

WAY TOO LONG

Well, it has been way to long since i posted last. My life is flashing before me..... Tyler will be 6 months old on Monday, Tatum turned 5 this past March and Ashlyn will be 4 at the end of August.
These last several months have been a whirlwind....
We have been to the doctor more times than i can count with Tyler. At 9 weeks old, Tyler got sick for about 6-7 weeks straight. He ended up having several ear infections, which almost led us to get TUBES.... and he had RSV. Luckly we did not have to go to the hospital, but we did have to do numerous breathing treatments at home. During this time we had to do this with Ashlyn several times as well.
Tyler rolled from belly to back at 4 months old, and then he rolled from back to belly at almost 5 months. He is now rolling all the time and i am sure that he will be rolling to get things soon.

OUR BIGGEST PROBLEM!!!!! He will NOT take a bottle.... Did you read that clearly, he WILL not. Do you know how hard that makes it for me. Luckly he nurses in about 5-7 minutes and is then done. But it does make it very hard to leave him for a long period.

The girls are loving him more and more everyday... They are so sweet to him.
Several days ago i heard him crying in the living room, i went to see what the problem was.....
What did i see.... Tyler completely naked on the floor and Tatum trying to change his diaper. She was really being so sweet to him, but he definitely didn't like it!!!

I will post pictures soon. Tyler has changed so much in the past 6 months.
At 4 months he weighed in at 15.13 and then i had to go back two weeks later for another ear check and he was at 17lbs.

I am sure he is pushing 18 lbs now. He feels like he is starting to level out some. He has NO rolls, he is just thick!!!

The Girls Christmas Program

They are in there somewhere. This is all of the 3k, 4k, and 5k classes at their school.

Tyler was 1 1/2 weeks old at their program. For those of you that are thinking it, yes i went and so did Tyler. He was tightly in the sling, so noone could touch him, but i have figured out that we just have to keep on going. There is no slowing down when you have a 3 and 4 year old. They did so great singing.

Great job girls. We love you so much!

The First 2 weeks home

The first 2 weeks home were such a blur for me. I was so exhausted and still very swollen. It hurt to walk from the c-section and the swelling. My feet were so huge they wouldn't even fit into crocks... Luckily the girls were still in school, so that was a great help. Once my mom would pick them up, I would either feed Tyler again, or go straight to sleep. I think atleast every other night we went out driving to look at Christmas lights. I couldn't drive for 2 weeks and for me that was the worst torture ever! For those of you that know me well, you know i am not a home body. All these people that told me the third one just falls right into place.... I am not sure what they were on when they were telling me that, but not the case here. It has been much more of an adjustment for me to have 3 than to have 2. Maybe that is because Tatum was only 17 months old when Ashlyn was born, I dont know... but this sure seems harder.

Our first night home

We had a good first night home. He woke up 2 times during the night. I slept in the recliner since it was easier for me to get up and down from. The girls did great with him being at home. Josh was still off on Friday, so it was nice to have him here. We had to take Tyler in Friday to our doctor for a weight check. He was still at 7.14

Hospital Pictures

Here are a few pictures from the hospital of Tyler. We were there for 4 days. When we left on Thursday Dec 4th, he weighed 7lbs 14oz. We were ready to get home and see the girls, but i was nervous at the same time.

Joshua Tyler West Jr

Tyler was born Monday Dec 1st at 11:56am. He weighed in at 8lbs 9oz and 21 in long. While getting my epidural his heart rate dropped and would niot come back up. I ended up having to have an emergency c-section. Not what i had "planned" or hoped for at all. Due to it being emergency... i was knocked out. Therefore I dont remember anything about it. This bothered me for over a week, but he is here and healthy and all that I could ask for.

Tatum and Ashlyn did great with him in the hospital and loved coming to see him everyday! Tatum loves to hold him ALL the time! Ashlyn likes to hold him, get her fix and then she is off doing her own thing again. Tatum on the other hand has to be right under me at all times trying to figure out what needs to be done with Tyler!

Our family is now complete!

The Incredibles go to Disney Land

We went with Grammie and Bobo (josh's parents) to Disney on Ice. The girls had a great time. The theme was the Incredibles go to Disney Land. The girls have really started to get into things such as this..... here we go.....

Build A Bear

We took the girls to Build A Bear and they picked out a blue and white bear to make for Tyler.... We are hoping that with them taking him a present and him bringing them some presents that things will go over well! We shall see in less than 2 days!

Baby Showers

I had two great baby showers for Tyler. Friends from church hosted the first one. The hostesses were.... Shannon Mills, Christal Tate, Beth Lyda, Aimee Stone and Alyson Milligan. We had a great time getting together and i got some great things for Tyler. My second shower was hosted by my two great friends Kelly and Jamie. This one was great as well! My nephew Noah is the little boy in the pictures... he loved helping me and ended up in most pictures.

Yes, I will have to back track on my blogs, but wanted to get this one on here. As of today, we have a scheduled induction for onday December 1st! I am very excited about this, but anxious as well! What am i going to do with three children..... and with Ashlyn who is so clingy right now.... I guess i will find out in 2 1/2 weeks. More updates soon. I will post pictures from Halloween, Disney on Ice, Etc!

Tatum's 1st Softball Game

This fall we signed Tatum up for softball. Since there were not many 4 yr olds to sign up, they put her on the 6 and under team. She along with everyone else was getting bored with just practicing, but she enjoyed her first game. She hit the ball on the second pitch and got a double! We were so proud of her! She was just as proud!

Old Baker Farm

Tatum and Ashlyn had a field trip to Old Baker Farm at the end of September. Josh took off 1/2 a day so we could both go wtih them. It was extremely HOT, but the girls had a great time. Here are a couple pictures of them from there!

This past Tuesday at school, Ashlyn proceeded to tell her teacher that Josh and I say bad words. Ms. Elaine asked her what we said..... and with her hand on her hip and her head cocked to the side Ashlyn said..... Well... they say "Oh My Gosh" and we are only suppose to say "Oh My Goodness" or just "Oh My".... Elaine is a dear family friend on mine, so she had to come to my class and let me know. She was laughing so hard... I am just glad we didn't really say anything bad. But we do tell Tatum and Ashlyn to say "Oh My Goodness", I guess Ashlyn was listening to part of what we said!

Your Belly Button has a smiley face

When i was 21 i had surgery for Endometriosis. Therefore I have a scar in my belly button. The other day Tatum wanted to "talk" to Tyler. She lifted my shirt to see my belly and for the first time saw the scar. She started laughing and pointed to it saying "Your Belly Button has a Smiley Face!" There is a glimpse of the mind of a 4 year old!

30 week checkup

I went Thursday for my 30 weeks check-up. Everything was good. I am not as miserable as i was. I guess the weather cooling off a bit has helped. I am still measuring 3 weeks ahead.... even with measuring big they aren't going to do anything about it. My doctor just says he is going to be a bigger baby. About the size Tatum was..... She was 8 lbs 7 oz and Ashlyn was 7 lbs 3 oz.... Big difference. I told him i was ok with that, i just didn't want to birth a 10 pound baby. My nurse that listens to his heartbeat told me that i have a "pretty" belly. Her words were, I see alot of bellies around here and i dont give out that compliment very often. That made me feel better about how huge it is!!!
Otherwise everything else around the West household is going fine. Finally getting things rolling in Tyler's nursery. It is weird to see "boy" things come into this house.... after all the pink we have. Tatum and Ashlyn are getting excited. Ashlyn asked today when he was coming out of my belly... sooner than later is what i told her!

28 weeks and counting

I am now alittle over 28 weeks and miserable! Yes, I know most people at 28 weeks would not say that they are miserable.... but i am. With working two jobs, trying to sew and a 4 yr old and 3 yr old I am tired of being pregnant! I know that it will not slow down once Tyler gets here, but i will not be so big! I went in Thursday for my check up, I am now going every 2 weeks. He is now head down, although that can still change. They wont worry about it until i am 34 weeks. But here is the kicker..... I am measuring 31 weeks. Yes, three weeks bigger than what i am. I told you i feel huge! I asked my doctor what this means.... he says.... He's going to be big. Like i didn't already know that. Not to mention that my ankles and feet are also huge. You know, things could be worse, I know i am blessed to not be on bed rest! Thank you Jesus for watching over us everyday!

Doctor Visits

Sept 2 we had Ashlyns 3yr check up. Everything was great. She is 36 inches tall and weighs 30 lbs. She is 25% in height and 50% in weight.... Right where she has been the whole time. Her vision was 30/20, which they said was right where a 3 yr old should be. She was doing her vision test in the hall and Tatum and I were in the room. The nurse asked Ashlyn what something was on the chart.... and Ashlyn's response was..... (Laughing) I dont know you tell me..... At first i couldn't tell if the nurse was shocked that she said that to her... but then i heard her laugh...
Sept 3 I had my 26 week check up. I was so excited to not have gained any weight this time... I think a first for me. I did my blood sugar test and after an hour got my finger pricked... the count was 140, which is border line... They had to draw blood anyway for my antibody screen and the next day they called and my blood sugar was 89. So i passed! The only other piece of information is that Tyler is breech right now. My doctor said he obviously has time to turn, but that he is already big.... so we will just wait and see! I go back in 2 weeks for my RH- shot....

that was the score! Josh and I went to the game. It was fun to be in Auburn, but it was SOOOOO HOT! But I thought since we sit with Bo and Whitney Kerr and she was going to be there pregnant too... that i will go too! We had a great time! WAR EAGLE!

Today Ashlyns turns 3! She was born at 2:35pm August 29th, 2005. The day Katrina Hit! What a day to remember. I can't believe that my baby is 3.... and that i am about to have another baby. Ashlyn has come into her own these last couple months.... She has been the easiest most laid back child ever.... and then she got close to being 3. She is still great, but her temper tantrums are getting to be more and more... Definitely some provoked by Tatum. She will make you laugh at the drop of a hat! She is going to be a great BIG SISTER!

Thursday afternoon i took the girls to "try" and get some pictures of Ashlyn in her birthday outfit. She LOVES the color ORANGE! Loves might be an understatement. So when i found this orange and pink outfit, I thought it was perfect. We went to Buck Creek in Helena and tried to get pictures in front of the waterfall... Didn't actually get many that show the waterfall, but got come that are really cute. Tatum wanted to have hers taken as well. So we got some cute ones of her too!

It was such a beautiful day today that we actually got to play outside without burning up. Even Josh got in on the fun. The girls rode bikes, their jeep (so did Josh), Tatum roller skated for a bit and then the next door neighbor kids came out and we all played softball in the street... Well, i didn't, i just watched. Here are some pics of the girls and Josh having fun!

22 Week Doctor Visit

Today I went in for my 22 week visit... All is well. I took the girls with me since it was an easy appointment. The nurse came in to listen to the Heartbeat and Ashlyn asked if she was going to be able to hear Tyler cry. The nurse and I both started laughing. That was really sweet. Heartbeat was around 156, sounded very healthy. The not so fun part was they had to draw blood again. I HATE needles.... not even sure if HATE is the correct word.... get dizzy, sometimes pass out, and use to cry all the time. So far, I have been stuck at every doctor appt. I have hypo-thyroid and this pregnancy it has gone haywire... I will go back in 4 weeks to have my sugar test and my antibody screening. I am also RH negative... therefore at 28 weeks have to get a shot so that my body doesn't fight off the baby. And so far have had to get it after i deliver because Tatum nor Ashlyn have the same blood type as me... Seems like i might get stuck at EVERY doctor appt this pregnancy! Tyler is moving all the time. I have even started seeing my belly move when he is doing his gymnastics inside my belly. This is the part of pregnancy that i love!

Gymnastics

Tuesday Ashlyn started gymnastics for the First time. She loved it! Tatum has been taking for alittle over a year. She has always enjoyed it, but it seems like these last couple months she is LOVING it! She is always doing all her tricks around the house. We are very proud at how well she is doing. Big progress... she walked in the beam by herself with little hesitation yesterday! Ashlyn loved all of it. She has three friends from school that started with her yesterday!

No More Diapers! (for right now anyway)

We have been working with Ashlyn for about 2 months on Potty Training and it just hasn't been going as smoothly as it did with Tatum. Well.... last Thursday at school she decided she was ready and went full force! Friday she started wearing "Big Girl Panties" at home and a pull up if we went out or nap/bed time... (she has been wearing pull ups for a while now) and I told her she would have to "actually go potty" in the potty to wear panties out. She has been peeing in the potty for some time now. Well, there she went, ready as ever! So she actually wore Panties to church Sunday and did great! I am so excited to be done with pull ups/diapers for a while! This is definitely a big step! She had to be FULLY potty trained to start 3K in September! Good Job Ashlyn! Sorry for those that probably didn't want to read about that. But it is a HUGE step!

Beach Trip

Every Memorial Day week we go to the beach with Josh's parents and brother. It is a nice time to relax and have help with the girls. This trip was great. Tatum and Ashlyn loved the water this year once they warmed up to it. One of my favorite things ever is taking pictures of the girls. Here are a few that i took while on our trip.

I thought this would be an easy way for everyone to keep up with what we are doing. Tatum is almost 4 1/2 years old and Ashlyn will be 3 at the end of August. We are expecting our third child in early December. A BOY! We are so excited! Joshua Tyler is his name. We will call him Tyler. As for Tatum, she is calling him fuzzy right now. Who knows if it will stick. But i do think it is cute. I hope you enjoy our blog. I will be listing more soon with pictures.
